Veil

Overview
A calmer feed — hide unwanted content from your timeline.
Your X feed shouldn't be porn, gambling ads, and crypto spam between the posts you actually want. Veil filters that out. Think adblock, but for that stuff. Veil scans your feed and hides adult content, gambling, and spam — and it runs entirely on your own device. Nothing about you ever leaves your machine. • Three sensitivity levels — Relaxed, Balanced, Strict. In Relaxed and Balanced there's a bit of friction to reveal something; Strict mode is locked so adult content can't be revealed at all. • Adult-content filtering is always on by design. There's no off switch for it — that's the point. • An auto-blocklist that learns repeat offenders, and a counter so you can see how much it's filtered. On privacy, the honest version: Veil works on your device. The only network activity is re-fetching X's own images locally so it can scan them — that's it. We will never tell you it's "zero network," because that wouldn't be true. Nothing about you leaves your device. Note: Chrome will warn that Veil can "read and change your data on x.com." It needs that to read your feed and hide what you've asked it to. It does not send your data anywhere. It's in beta and detection is still improving — it reduces what you see, it doesn't claim to block 100%. Free while it's built out.
