Falls back to a new tab + automatic close if the current page blocks injection (e.g., chrome:// pages), ensuring the escape always works. How to use Keyboard shortcut: <kbd>Ctrl + Shift + X</kbd> (or <kbd>⌘ + ⇧ + X</kbd> on macOS). Toolbar icon: Click the lifebuoy when you need to vanish. Custom “safe” site: Open Extensions → Quick Escape → Options and enter any URL (news, calendar, email, corporate intranet, …).
