Overview
Turn any image into a crisp SVG vector — logos are the superpower: grab this site's logo as a real SVG or trace it clean. Local.
Vectorsmith turns any image on any page into a clean, editable SVG — without uploading it anywhere. Point it at a logo, an icon, a screenshot, or a diagram. If the page already has real vector art, Vectorsmith grabs the actual SVG. If it only has a raster, the built-in tracing engine rebuilds it as smooth vector curves. WHAT IT DOES • Grabs true SVG when the page has it — no quality loss, no tracing needed • Traces PNG, JPG, WebP and GIF into real vector paths when it doesn't • Colour, flat and mono modes, plus a cutout mode for silhouettes • Live preview with pan, zoom and an eraser for cleaning up stray marks • Undo / redo on every edit • Export as SVG, or as PNG at any scale • Copy straight to the clipboard WHY THE OUTPUT LOOKS RIGHT Most in-browser tracers hand you a jagged polygon soup. Vectorsmith fits genuine cubic curves, detects circles and ellipses and emits them as real primitives, and separates colour regions into properly stacked layers instead of overlapping slabs. Fewer, cleaner paths — the kind of file you can actually open in Illustrator or Figma and edit. The engine ships with the extension and was tuned against a 448-image benchmark of brand marks, icons and wordmarks. PRIVACY Everything runs locally in your browser. No uploads, no servers, no accounts, no analytics, no tracking. Your images never leave your device — there is no network request in the tracing path at all.
