Overview
Vauz Autofill brings the logins you keep in Vauz to the sign-in forms in your browser.
Click the Vauz icon in a username field, approve with Touch ID or your V-Key, and choose a login. Vauz Autofill fills in your username and password. Your passwords stay on your Mac. The extension doesn’t store them. It receives one from the Vauz app only when you choose a login, over an end-to-end encrypted connection to Vauz on the same Mac, and it sends nothing over the internet. It fills only where it should. • A login is offered only on the exact site it was saved for. A leading “www.” is ignored. • Pages that aren’t secure (http) never receive a login. You see a warning instead. • You’re warned when a site’s address imitates another’s, such as one spelled with lookalike letters. • Entries you protect in Vauz are never filled. You stay in control. One approval covers a site for two minutes. To approve every fill, turn on “Prompt for authentication on every autofill”. If logins are requested again and again in quick succession, Vauz pauses and asks you first. Requires the Vauz app for Mac, currently in beta. Features may change before the final release.
