Vault Object Inspector

Inspect the object you have open in M-Files Web: internal ID, GUIDs, type, class, version, dates and full property list.

Vault Object Inspector adds a power-user inspection panel to M-Files Web. Open any object and the panel fills in automatically with the technical detail the standard UI doesn't surface: • Internal ID and display (external) ID, plus external-repository reference • Object, version and vault GUIDs (collapsible section) • Object type, class and version • Created and last-modified timestamps, workflow and state, checked-out user • Files with names and sizes • The complete property list, showing each property's real vault name alongside its numeric definition ID • Copy JSON — the whole record to your clipboard in one click Every value has a one-click copy button, so IDs and GUIDs go straight into a ticket, script or support case without retyping. Open the panel with the toolbar button or Alt+Shift+I. It refreshes on its own each time you open a different object. WHO IT IS FOR Administrators, consultants, developers and support staff who work with M-Files vaults and routinely need an object's identifiers. SCOPE AND LIMITS • Works on M-Files Web at *.cloudvault.m-files.com. It does not load into the wrapped M-Files Desktop client — browser extensions cannot inject there. • Read-only. It never modifies, creates or deletes anything in your vault. • Unofficial and unsupported. The vault API it reads is documented by M-Files, but the way this extension reaches it from the browser is not, so a future M-Files Web release can change it.
