Vandal Screen Capture
Overview
Capture the visible area, a region or a whole web page. Copy it, save it, or open it in Vandal's editor.
Capture any web page the way you see it: the visible area, a region you drag, or the whole page from top to bottom. Then copy it, save it, or open it in Vandal's free open source editor to mark it up. Free, with no account, no ads and no tracking. Captures never leave your computer. THREE WAYS TO CAPTURE • Visible area: what you see in the tab, at full resolution. • Region: the page freezes, you drag an area, adjust it with handles or the arrow keys, and press Enter. • Full page: the page scrolls by itself and is stitched into one tall image. Sticky headers appear once at the top and cookie banners once at the bottom, instead of on every screen. Press Esc to stop. AFTER A CAPTURE • A result tab shows the capture with Copy, Save, Save as and Open in Vandal. • Or skip the tab: copy straight to the clipboard, save straight away, or open it in Vandal. A short message on the page confirms it. • Files are named by your own pattern: the page title, the site, the date and time, or a number that counts up. KEYBOARD FIRST • Alt+Shift+S visible area, Alt+Shift+D region, Alt+Shift+F full page, Alt+Shift+V the popup. Change them any time in the browser's shortcut settings. MARK IT UP IN VANDAL Vandal is a free, open-source screen capture and markup app for Windows. With Vandal installed, Open in Vandal sends the capture to its editor (starting Vandal if it isn't running), where you can add arrows, text, callouts, step numbers and highlights, or redact private details. The extension works fine without it. Get Vandal: https://vandalscreenshot.com PRIVATE BY DESIGN • The extension only reads a tab when you ask it to capture that tab. • It doesn't collect, send or sell any data. Captures are kept in your browser for a day so you can come back to them, then deleted. • Open in Vandal hands the image to the Vandal app on your own computer. Some pages can't be captured by any extension: the browser's own pages (settings, new tab) and the Chrome Web Store. OPEN SOURCE Vandal and this Chrome Extension are open source.
