Overview
Keep Uyghur forced labor out of your online shopping carts.
The Uyghur Forced Labor Checker from the Human Rights Foundation notifies you when you’re shopping with a brand that may be implicated in using Uyghur forced labor – so you can ensure your purchases are not complicit in genocide. Today, an estimated 1 in 5 cotton items in the world are at high-risk of being linked to Uyghur forced labor. Raising awareness is the first step towards putting a stop to this. Many brands try to hide their involvement through complex supply chains, making it hard for you to know if you’re buying into the problem. Our plug-in makes it simple with a pop-up that informs you when you’re shopping from a brand that has not publicly committed to disengaging with Uyghur forced labor. From there, you’ll be given the choice to keep shopping or to leave. The Uyghur Forced Labor Checker's database is based off the Coalition to End Forced Labour in the Uyghur Region's advocacy and research efforts.
