Utilumo — local browser utilities, one click from your content Utilumo puts small, focused utilities right where you're already working. Select some text, right-click a link or an image, or open the panel — Utilumo runs the matching tool on your device and hands the result straight back. No tab-hopping, no hunting for a utility site, no sign-in. How you use it Everything starts from something you do: the toolbar popup, the side panel, a right-click action, or a keyboard shortcut. Utilumo does not watch the pages you browse, and nothing runs on a page until you ask. What it does Links and pages • Strip tracking parameters from the current page, a link, or a copied URL • Open the cleaned link, or inspect how a URL is put together • Copy a page or link as a Markdown link • Generate a QR code for the current page • See page signals at a glance: trackers found, robots, canonical, CSP, image and form counts Text • Clean up messy copied text and reveal hidden characters • Count words and characters • Extract every URL from a block of text • Convert case: UPPERCASE, lowercase, Title Case Developer formats • Format, minify and validate JSON • Encode and decode Base64 • Decode a JWT to see its claims • Convert a pasted table to CSV, JSON or Markdown • Turn a timestamp into a readable date Screenshots • Capture the visible page, or drag out just the region you need • Cover sensitive areas with boxes you can move, resize and recolour • Zoom in for small targets like a name or an ID • Copy or download the result — re-encoded on your device, so no metadata from the original carries over Images • Re-encode to WebP, JPEG or PNG with a quality you choose • Resize, or aim for a target file size • Metadata is removed every time, because the file is re-encoded locally The launcher • Search every Utilumo tool from the popup and press Enter to open the top match • Keep favourites and recently used tools within reach Privacy, specifically Not a slogan — things you can check: • No account, no sign-in • No advertising trackers, no analytics, no extension telemetry • No browsing-history collection • No access to all websites at installation • No clipboard-read permission • No downloads permission • Favourites, recent tools and your theme stay on your device • Screenshots, pasted text, images and generated output are processed locally and are never uploaded for remote processing Some actions deliberately open the matching tool on utilumo.com — for example the QR generator, the audio tools, or the full URL cleaner. When an action needs to pass a URL to that tool, it happens only as part of the action you explicitly chose, and it is visible in your address bar. Website access, only when a task needs it Browser security rules sometimes block reading an image directly. When that happens, Utilumo asks for access to that one website, at that moment, so the image can be fetched and processed on your device instead of uploaded. That access is not granted at installation, is requested only when needed, and can be removed at any time from the extension. It is never used to monitor your browsing. If something genuinely cannot run locally, Utilumo offers to open the relevant web tool instead. It never quietly switches to uploading your content. Small tools. Less friction. More control.
