The extension reuses the existing portal tab, follows the configured appointment workflow, checks the selected consular post, and continues monitoring when no matching appointment is available. When a possible appointment slot appears, USvisaSlotChecker provides a clear visual alert in the portal, an optional audible alert, and a system notification so you can return to the browser and review the result promptly. Key features New appointment and rescheduling support Select New appointment when searching for an initial appointment or Reschedule Appointment when looking for a different appointment after an existing booking. The selected workflow is used each time the extension performs a scheduled check. Consular post matching Enter a consular post as plain text, such as Mumbai, or use a JavaScript-style regular expression when more flexible matching is needed. The extension checks the visible appointment page and continues only when the configured consular post matches. Flexible checking interval Set Interval (min) to any whole number from 1 through 60. This lets you choose a checking frequency appropriate for your needs instead of being limited to fixed presets. Clear slot notifications When a possible matching appointment is detected, the extension can display an in-page visual alert, play a repeating audible alert, and show a system notification. You can silence the sound and clear the result from the extension controls. Safe recurring workflow For recurring checks, the extension returns through Visa Application Home before beginning the next appointment workflow. This helps keep navigation within the intended portal flow rather than repeatedly opening unrelated pages or tabs. Logged-in-only operation USvisaSlotChecker is designed to work with a portal session that you have already opened and authenticated manually. It reuses an existing portal tab and does not create repeated tabs when monitoring is enabled on an authentication page or before a portal tab is available. The extension waits for you to complete login and then uses the portal tab when it becomes available. Privacy and security USvisaSlotChecker does not request, store, autofill, or submit usernames, passwords, security questions, or security answers. It does not automate login and does not access credentials. Monitoring preferences are stored locally in the browser. The extension does not use a remote backend to transmit your settings or appointment results. It requests access only to the US Visa Scheduling portal required for its monitoring workflow. It does not use broad website access, cookie access, network interception, or unrelated website permissions. Human-verification challenges, CAPTCHA, Cloudflare, Turnstile, waiting rooms, and similar security controls remain under the portal's control and must be completed manually when presented. The extension does not bypass or solve these protections. Getting started 1. Install USvisaSlotChecker. 2. Open the US Visa Scheduling portal and complete login manually. 3. Open the extension popup while the portal tab is available. 4. Select New appointment or Reschedule Appointment. 5. Enter the desired consular post. 6. Set the checking interval from 1 to 60 minutes. 7. Choose whether audible alerts should be enabled. 8. Turn monitoring on. Keep the browser open with the logged-in portal tab available while monitoring is active. When an alert appears, review the appointment details directly in the portal and complete any required actions yourself.
