Overview

Deployment feedback helper: annotated screenshots and voice screencasts, saved locally or shared via email.

Capture deployment feedback in seconds: annotated screenshots and narrated screen recordings, saved to your Downloads and handed off by email — or copied as a Markdown report straight into your tracker. No accounts, no cloud; everything stays on your machine. NEW IN v0.10 - Copy the finished report to the clipboard as Markdown: a heading, a metadata table (reporter, page, capture time, machine, extension version), the numbered sticky notes, recent console errors and the saved file names — ready to paste into Jira, GitHub/GitLab issues or Teams instead of retyping it. - UsrHelper is now open source under the MIT licence: github.com/AmigoUK/UsrHelper SCREENSHOTS - Three capture modes: visible area, full page (auto-scroll and stitch), or a selected region. - Annotation editor: marker, rectangle/ellipse, arrow, text, numbered step markers (1-2-3…), crop, full undo/redo. - Yellow sticky notes for longer comments — numbered on the image and repeated as text in the report, so the developer can quote them. - Anonymisation brush: paint a pixel mosaic over sensitive data, irreversibly baked into the exported image. - Click path: the last clicks on the page stamped onto the screenshot as numbered markers. SCREENCASTS - Record a tab, a window or the entire screen, with microphone narration. - Mic level indicator, 3-2-1 countdown, pause/resume, elapsed-time counter, optional camera bubble. - Click ripples and pressed-key captions visible in the recording. - Long recordings split automatically into standalone clips (configurable). REPORTING - Files saved to a configurable subfolder of Downloads, timestamped. - Companion .json with the description, exact time, page URL and title, real environment details (OS, CPU architecture, exact browser version), recent console errors and click path. - Email hand-off: one click opens a pre-filled email with recipients from your project profile. - Report history in the popup: thumbnails, show file, re-email. - Project profiles: switchable sets of recipients, folder, description template and limits — exportable as a file, so a whole team of testers gets identical settings. Importing shows the recipients for confirmation before anything is stored. - UI in English and Polish. PRIVACY - No accounts, no analytics, nothing transmitted — reports exist only as the files you save and choose to send. - Console errors are collected only on the project domains you list in Settings (none by default). - Privacy policy: amigouk.github.io/UsrHelper/privacy.html Feature requests and the public roadmap: attv.uk/projects/usrhelper.html
