Lets your Use Brian assistant act in your own browser: consent-gated, approval-gated sends, always stoppable.

Use Brian is a company brain for founders and small teams. This extension is the "My Browser" half of it: it lets your Use Brian assistant work inside the Chrome you already use, on a tab you approve, instead of a browser running in a datacenter. WHY YOU MIGHT WANT IT Cloud browsers run on datacenter IP addresses, and plenty of sites refuse the connection outright. Others need you signed in. Because this extension drives your own Chrome, the assistant arrives with your logins and your home network, so those pages load the way they do for you. Cloud browsing stays the default. My Browser is the escalation for the sites that need it. HOW IT WORKS 1. Install the extension. 2. In Use Brian, open Settings and find My Browser. If the extension is already installed, connecting is one click. Otherwise copy the relay address and pairing code into the extension popup. 3. Set a browser profile to My Browser, or accept the assistant's offer when it hits a site the cloud browser cannot reach. 4. Every time the assistant wants to work in your browser, you get a prompt naming the tab. Approve it, watch it work, and press Stop whenever you want. WHAT IT CAN DO Inside the one tab you approved, the assistant can navigate, read the page, click, and type. That is the entire vocabulary. WHAT IT CANNOT DO - It requests no host permissions, so it has no standing access to your sites. - It injects no content scripts into any page. - It does not read or export your cookies, saved passwords, or browsing history. - It cannot start on its own. Every task needs your approval, and one approval covers one task in one tab. - Closing the tab ends the task. So does pressing Stop. While the extension is attached, Chrome shows its own "Use Brian is debugging this browser" banner, so you always know when it is active. PERMISSIONS, AND WHY - debugger: the only way the extension acts on a page. It reads the accessibility tree and sends clicks and keystrokes to the approved tab through the Chrome DevTools Protocol. Chrome does not allow this permission to be optional, so it is granted at install and stays inert until you approve a task. - tabs: to identify the tab you approved and to notice when you close it. - storage: to keep your relay address and pairing credential on this machine. No host permissions and no content scripts, by design. REQUIREMENTS A Use Brian account (usebrian.ai). My Browser is available on paid plans, and without a plan gate on self-hosted installs of the open source edition. OPEN SOURCE The extension source is public, at github.com/use-brian/use-brian under apps/browser-extension. PRIVACY While a task you approved is running, the extension sends the assistant what it needs in order to act: the page's accessibility structure, the current URL of that tab, and screenshots of that tab.
