Case Clarity does not provide legal advice, does not submit immigration forms, and cannot change or speed up a USCIS case. Always rely on official USCIS notices for appointment times, addresses, filing requirements, deadlines, and legal decisions. Case Clarity has one purpose: to help a user understand the status information returned for the user’s own USCIS cases while the user is signed in to my.uscis.gov. The extension detects or accepts USCIS receipt numbers, performs a user-initiated case check, converts the returned case data into readable summaries, and optionally stores changed responses locally so the user can review case history. The extension requires access only to https://my.uscis.gov/* so its content script can run on the user’s signed-in myUSCIS account page, detect the user’s USCIS receipt numbers, and make the user-requested same-origin case API request. The permission is restricted to my.uscis.gov and is not used to access any other website. The storage permission is used for chrome.storage.local. It saves the user’s history preference and, only when the user enables history, stores changed USCIS case-response snapshots locally in the user’s Chrome profile. The extension also uses local storage to let the user view, export, or delete that history. Stored case data is not transmitted to the developer or to third parties. The extension does not execute remotely hosted code. All JavaScript, HTML, and CSS used by the extension is included in the submitted extension package. The extension retrieves USCIS case data from my.uscis.gov, but that response is treated only as data and is never evaluated or executed as code. The extension does not use remote script tags, eval(), remotely hosted WebAssembly, or a remote command interpreter.
