URLflows for Page Pruning

Click any element on a page to hide it — cookie bars, sidebars, comments. It stays hidden every time you come back.

Every page has something you'd rather not look at. A cookie banner that never quite goes away, a sidebar of recommended videos, a comment section, a sticky newsletter bar eating the bottom of your screen. URLflows for Page Pruning lets you point at it and make it disappear. HOW IT WORKS 1. Click the toolbar icon and press "Pick element to hide" — or just press Ctrl+Shift+X (⌘⇧X on Mac). 2. Move your mouse over the page. Whatever is under the cursor lights up. 3. Click it. It's gone. 4. Keep clicking to hide more, then press Esc when you're done. Come back to that page tomorrow, next week, or next month and the things you hid are still hidden. No setup, no filter syntax, no rules to write. CHANGED YOUR MIND? Open the popup and you'll see a list of everything you've hidden on the current page, each one described in plain language. Remove them one at a time with the × button, or press "Restore all on this page" to bring everything back at once. BUILT TO STAY OUT OF THE WAY - Smart selection. Hiding an element that leaves an empty container behind will collapse the container too, so you don't get a blank gap where the thing used to be. - Per-page memory. Hiding a sidebar on one article doesn't hide things on unrelated pages. - Survives reloads and restarts. Rules are re-applied the moment a page loads. BACKUP & SETTINGS The "Settings & backup" link at the bottom of the popup opens a settings page that lists everything you've hidden, on every site, grouped by page. Restore a single element or a whole page from there without visiting the site — open tabs update immediately, no reload needed. You can also export every rule to a single JSON file as a backup, and import it again later, on this machine or another one. Imports merge with what you already have: nothing is overwritten and duplicates are skipped. If you want a fresh start, "Reset all" puts every page back to normal after a confirmation. The "Shortcut" section shows the key combination Chrome has actually bound — not the one the extension asked for — and takes you straight to Chrome's own shortcuts page to change it, with a plain-English guide to the combinations Chrome allows and the ones your operating system will steal. PRIVACY Nothing you do leaves your computer. There are no accounts, no servers, no analytics, and no tracking of any kind. The list of things you've hidden is saved in Chrome's local storage on your own machine and is never transmitted anywhere. The extension has no ability to send data off your device.
