Click to hide any element on any website: cookie bars, sidebars, popups. It stays hidden every time you come back.

Every page has something you'd rather not look at. A cookie banner that never quite goes away, a sidebar of recommended videos, a sticky newsletter bar eating the bottom of your screen. Page Pruner by URLflows lets you point at it and make it disappear. HOW IT WORKS 1. Click the toolbar icon and press "Pick element to hide", or just press Ctrl+Shift+X (⌘⇧X on Mac). 2. Move your mouse over the page. Whatever is under the cursor lights up. 3. Click it. It's gone. 4. Keep clicking to hide more, then press Esc when you're done. Come back to that page tomorrow, next week or next month and the things you hid are still hidden. No setup, no filter syntax, no rules to write. CHANGED YOUR MIND? Open the toolbar panel and you'll see everything you've hidden on the current page, each one described in plain language. Remove them one at a time with the × button, or press "Restore all on this page" to bring everything back at once. BUILT TO STAY OUT OF THE WAY - Smart selection. Hiding an element that leaves an empty container behind collapses the container too, so you don't get a blank gap where the thing used to be. - Per-page memory. Hiding a sidebar on one article doesn't hide things on unrelated pages. - Survives reloads and restarts. Rules are re-applied the moment a page loads. SETTINGS The gear in the toolbar panel opens a settings page with a search box (press / to jump to it) that finds any setting. A first install opens it at Getting started, a short guide to picking, restoring and theming. - Hidden elements: everything you've hidden, on every site, grouped by page. Restore a single element or a whole page without visiting the site; open tabs update immediately, no reload needed. - Shortcut: the key combination Chrome has actually bound, not just the one the extension asked for, with a button that takes you straight to Chrome's shortcuts page to change it. - Appearance: Dark or Light, plus seasonal and holiday themes, for the toolbar panel, the settings page and the picker's banner. Customize any theme's colors and keep your version alongside the original. An optional seasonal animation plays behind the toolbar panel, never on web pages. It is off by default and stays off when your computer is set to reduce motion. - Backup & Restore: export everything you've hidden and your settings to one file, and import it again on this machine or another. Imports merge with what you already have; duplicates are skipped. - Resets: reset one area at a time, or everything at once after a confirmation. - About: the version, what the extension can access, a 30-day performance history kept on this computer, and the other URLflows extensions. PRIVACY Nothing you do leaves your computer. There are no accounts or servers, and no analytics or tracking of any kind. The list of things you've hidden is saved in Chrome's local storage on your own machine and is never transmitted anywhere. The extension contains no code that sends data off your device.
