Overview

Subtasks on Jira boards, a pad with your team's ways of working, scrum guides and your access, done celebrations and a Rovo switch.

See your subtasks without clicking into every parent issue — and take back your board. Jira boards hide your subtasks one level down, so to know what's actually left on a story you end up opening card after card after card. URLflows for Jira fixes that. It surfaces the subtasks of every parent issue right on the board, inline under each card, so you can read the real state of your sprint at a glance. And while it's at it, it tidies up the rest of your board too — including the Rovo AI chat button Jira gives you no way to turn off. It runs entirely in your browser as you work in Jira. No accounts, no setup, nothing to configure before it helps. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ WHAT IT DOES ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ • Subtasks under every parent card — each parent issue on the board lists its subtasks inline, with status badges and assignee avatars, and one click opens any of them. • Sortable subtask lists — order subtasks by status, key, summary, or assignee so the work that matters surfaces first. • Backlog hover tooltip — hover a backlog issue to see its subtasks in a quick tooltip, without clicking in and losing your place. • Jira Notes & Guidance — a floating pad that follows you across every Jira page. The Notes half holds the same text wherever you are, for the topics that shouldn't derail standup; the Guidance half tells you what the page and project you're on are about. Rich-text editing, a Markdown export, six dock positions (or drag it anywhere). • Your access — see exactly which permissions you hold in the project you are looking at, plus the project lead and your groups, without opening an admin screen. Jira only reveals the full admin list to project admins; when that is not you, the extension says so and names the lead instead. • Ways of working — your team's own agreement, in your own words, leading the pad above your notes, and the one section that stays on screen when you collapse it. Write it once for everywhere, then give any individual Jira page something extra, in a color you choose so it stands apart from the guidance the extension ships. It sits above the Page Guide on purpose: where the two disagree, yours is the one that counts. • Page Guide — attach a page-aware scrum guide to the bottom of the Jira Notes & Guidance pad. It works out which Jira page you're on and which flavor of project you're in, then shows the standard practice for it with a longer explainer underneath — including how to size work in story points, and what velocity can and can't tell you. Every word of it is rewritable. • Hide Rovo Chat — Jira has no built-in way to switch off the Rovo AI assistant. One toggle hides the floating chat button, the Chat entry in the top navigation, the chat side panel and the editor's "Ask Rovo" button. • A board that celebrates done — drag an issue into a Done column for a quick on-screen celebration. Eight styles to choose from, for every issue or only yours, and it respects your system's reduced-motion setting. • Make it yours — 21 themes: five black-backed Noir, five white-backed Day, ten accents that follow Jira's own light/dark, and Match Jira, which picks whichever of your chosen pair suits the mode Atlassian is in. Recolor any of them or build your own. A sun/moon button on the pad and in the settings sidebar switches light to dark without leaving the board. Plus 10 hover highlight styles and text sizing for the pad and for subtasks. • Per-board control — keep subtasks on everywhere, or switch individual boards off with the eye button right on the board. • Backup & restore — export every setting to a single JSON file and restore it on any browser. Change your mind about a whole area and you can put just that one back: every section resets on its own, or all of them at once, and your notes survive either way. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ WHY YOU'LL LIKE IT ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ • Free, forever — no accounts, no sign-ups, no bloat. • No dark patterns — it respects your time and your attention. • Readable by default — every bundled theme clears WCAG AA contrast for body text in both light and dark, and if you've asked your system for reduced motion, the animations settle. • Private by design — everything runs locally in your browser. Nothing about your boards, issues, or browsing is collected, stored remotely, or transmitted anywhere. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ PRIVACY ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ URLflows for Jira reads only the Jira board pages you're already viewing so it can show subtasks where they belong, and stores your settings in your browser's own extension storage. No data leaves your browser. There are no analytics, no trackers, and no external servers. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ ABOUT ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ URLflows for Jira is part of the URLflows family of focused, no-nonsense browser extensions — where URLs flow and don't disrupt your work. Works in Chrome and Chromium-based browsers. Install it once, and stop clicking into every parent issue to see what's left.
