URL Switcher is a lightweight Chrome extension that automatically ormanually transforms URLs based on custom rules — built for power users who want their own URL "redirect" pairs (e.g. arxiv → alphaxiv, GitHub → GitLab, X → Nitter). KEY FEATURES • Define redirect rules using regular expressions + template replacement • Built-in arxiv → alphaxiv rule out of the box • One-click "Back to source" button (won't trigger redirect loops) • Master switch to disable all auto-redirects (manual button still works) • Add, edit, or remove rules through a clean visual UI • Rules sync across devices via chrome.storage.sync USE CASES • Open arXiv papers on AlphaXiv to read comments and discussion • Switch between GitHub and its mirrors • View X / Twitter via mirrors like Nitter or xcancel • Watch YouTube via Invidious mirrors • Any "I'm on site A but want to be on site B" workflow PRIVACY URL Switcher does not collect, store, or transmit any user data. All rules live locally in your browser's chrome.storage.sync. The content script only activates on domains matching your enabled rules.
