Overview

Dark theme with pixel-art accents and UX improvements for the UrBackup web interface.

UrBackup Theme+ gives the UrBackup web interface a different look: one dark palette taken from the UrBackup mark, plus a handful of small changes that make the panel easier to use every day. It is an alternative visual style for the same software, not a replacement. What you get - A dark theme for every view: navbar, panels, tables, forms, buttons, tabs, dropdowns, alerts and modals. - Statistics charts drawn in that theme: quiet grid, readable sizes (1.25 GB instead of a column of 1GB), full dates and a compact pie under its legend. - One page shell, so the navbar, the content and the footer share one width at any screen size. Wide tables scroll inside their panel instead of stretching the page. - Layouts measured again after a resize, so charts and table columns fit their panel without a reload. - A section switch that waits for the layout to settle and then fades in. Reduced motion is respected. - A login page that is a single card with the mark above it. Optional extras, each with its own switch on the extension options page. A change applies to open tabs immediately. - Status chips: table cells with states become readable pills. - Sticky navigation: the Settings tab bars stay pinned under the navbar. - Empty states: empty tables and panels get a calm placeholder. - Pixel icons: pixel art glyphs for the six sections. - File browser: file type glyphs, aligned sizes and the folder actions moved into the panel heading. - Hotkeys: 1 to 6 jump between sections, / or F2 focuses the search field, Esc leaves it. Edited settings fields keep a marker until the save completes. - Login mark: the UrBackup logo above the login card. Keyboard support and contrast come with the base theme: a skip to content link, visible focus rings, and muted text that stays at 4.5:1 or better. Where it works UrBackup 2.4 and 2.5 web interface, in Chrome, Edge or any Chromium 111 or newer. Dark only. The theme is added on top of the page and never changes server data, so switching it off gives you the server's own page back, untouched. Servers localhost and 127.0.0.1 work out of the box. Open the extension options, add any other UrBackup address and confirm the browser prompt once. Turning it off Click the toolbar button for the server in front of you, press Ctrl+Alt+U, or add ?ubx=off to the address for that session. Privacy No analytics, no telemetry, no remote calls. Settings are kept in chrome.storage.sync. The extension reads the UrBackup page you have open and nothing else. Not affiliated with the UrBackup project. MIT licensed.
