UpLens is an open-source job-posting analyzer built for Upwork freelancers. It helps you compare opportunities using consistent, explainable signals before you spend Connects or submit a proposal. HOW IT WORKS Open an Upwork job or public job-search page. UpLens reads the visible posting data and calculates a local 0–100 advisory score. Search results receive compact inline badges; the extension popup shows the full breakdown and analysis history. CORE FEATURES • Local risk indicators: Flags patterns such as off-platform contact requests, advance-payment requests, unusually vague descriptions, unverified payment status, and other caution signals. • Client and budget scoring: Reviews visible client history, hire rate, spending, rating, payment verification, and whether the offered budget meets your personal minimums. • Skill matching: Compares job skills and description text with the skills you save locally. • Optional BYOK AI: Connect your own OpenAI, Google Gemini, Groq, or supported OpenAI-compatible API account for a short AI summary and CV skill extraction. AI features are optional; the local score works without an API key. • Local model support: A custom OpenAI-compatible localhost endpoint can be used without sending requests to a cloud provider. • Seven interface languages: English, Turkish, German, French, Spanish, Portuguese, and Arabic. • Light and dark themes: The popup and onboarding tour adapt to the selected theme.
