UpfrontCheck Capture

Capture your own checkout's prices for an UpfrontCheck review. Needs an UpfrontCheck account (free to create).

You need an UpfrontCheck account to use this extension. Creating one is free, no card needed: https://upfrontcheck.com/app/signup?extension=1 (the page also opens when you install the extension). Capture mode is included in paid plans; your free first check can be a capture. UpfrontCheck checks how a business shows its prices and fees, from the first price to the last page before payment, and keeps a dated record of what was shown. Some checkouts cannot be scanned automatically (they block automated browsers or sit behind a login). This extension lets the business record its own checkout instead. How it works: 1. Create your account (or sign in), open Capture mode and create a connection code. 2. Paste the code into the extension once. 3. Open your own checkout, click "Capture this step" on the first price, then again on the price summary before payment. 4. Confirm it is your own checkout (or that you are authorised) and click "Send for review". What it reads, and when: only the tab you are on, and only when you click "Capture this step": the page's visible text, the text you selected, the page title and address, and a screenshot of the visible screen. It never reads what you type into forms, never runs in the background, and sends nothing until you click "Send for review". Captures go only to upfrontcheck.com.
