Overview

Find out if a site still runs Drupal 6, 7 or 8. All three are past end of life. One click, no tracking, no data sent.

Unsupported Drupal Detector tells you in one click whether a website is running a version of Drupal that no longer receives security updates. Drupal 6, 7, and 8 have all reached end of life, which means the Drupal project no longer ships security patches for them. A site still running one of these versions is exposed to known vulnerabilities that will never be fixed, and you usually cannot tell which version a site runs just by looking at it. This extension makes that answer visible: open any site, click the toolbar icon, and it reads the public signals on the page to determine whether the site runs Drupal and which major version it is on. When it finds an end-of-life version, it says so clearly, along with how confident it is and which signals it matched. It is a fast, practical tool for agencies auditing a client or prospect before a quote, developers doing reconnaissance on a stack they have inherited, and site owners who simply want to confirm what they are running. If you want to confirm the exact version, an optional step checks public files such as CHANGELOG.txt and robots.txt on the same site you are already visiting, with a built-in guard so a site that returns a page for every URL cannot trigger a false match. There is also an opt-in automatic mode that badges the detected version as you browse without needing a click, and it can be switched off at any time.
