Overview

Expand stringified JSON and browse JSONL locally.

Unquote is a JSON reading and debugging tool for developers. It detects and expands nested JSON values that have been escaped and stored as strings. It is useful for AI model outputs, agent session logs, MCP tool call records, JSONL logs, and complex API responses. Paste JSON or JSONL content into Unquote, and it will identify stringified JSON values and display the result in an interactive tree view. Key features: Detect and recursively expand stringified JSON Support JSON and JSONL formats Browse JSONL records with table-of-contents navigation Expand, collapse, and restore nested JSON Copy full output, node values, and JSON paths Light and dark themes Open selected webpage text in Unquote from the context menu Open the extension page with a keyboard shortcut All parsing happens locally in your browser. Your data stays on your device.
