If English isn't your first language, this tool is built for you. Instead of completely rewriting your sentences, it just fixes your mistakes while keeping your original voice and tone intact. You get a "red pen" view so you can see exactly what changed. It also includes a polish check based on actual data, not guesswork. It tells you if your writing gives off major "AI vibes" and debunks common myths—like the idea that using dashes or the word "moreover" automatically makes you sound like a bot. You have total control over the engine. You can use Chrome's built-in local model so your text never leaves your machine. Or, you can plug in your own API keys for Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini and six others, or run a model on your own Ollama server. The polish check even works if you don't connect an engine at all. It's completely free, open-source (MIT), and private: there are no servers of ours, and absolutely no data is collected. If you use your own API key, your text goes only to the provider you chose. Whenever you want to use it, just right-click your text and hit "Unpolish this," press Alt+Shift+U, or click the extension button in your toolbar.
