Your YouTube, your way. Unplug lets you customize YouTube’s feed, watch page, navigation, and player. Hide distractions, change how thumbnails look, browse videos in manageable batches, or let your video fill the browser window with Borderless mode. Choose the controls you want and hide the elements you don’t need. FEED & THUMBNAILS Give your feed a cleaner look with normal, grayscale, blurred, or hidden thumbnails. Adjust blur strength and customize channel pictures separately. Limit feeds to 20 videos at a time, then choose “Show more” when you’re ready to continue. Hide non-video content on Home, Subscriptions, and Search feeds, and disable thumbnail hover playback. Hide Shorts outside Search, or open Shorts in YouTube’s normal video player. BORDERLESS & PLAYER MODES Borderless mode expands the player to fill your browser’s viewing area while keeping your browser tabs accessible. Choose Default, Theatre, or Borderless as your preferred player mode. Cycle between modes with T, with the option to skip Default mode. PLAYER APPEARANCE & PLAYBACK Adjust video color saturation and choose which player controls remain visible. Hide seek-preview thumbnails, chapters, and individual player buttons. Remove end-screen suggestions and info cards, disable ambient mode, and turn off autoplay. WATCH PAGE Hide recommendations, comments, and live chat to keep more attention on the video. Hide the video title or center the title, channel information, and action buttons. Individually hide channel photos, names, subscriber counts, Join, and Subscribe. You can also change the Subscribe button to white text on black. Choose which action buttons appear, including Like/Dislike, Share, Ask, Save, and More. Hide the entire description or selected sections, or automatically expand descriptions when you want the details visible. TOP BAR & SIDEBAR Customize top-bar buttons, the YouTube logo, search, and your profile picture. Replace the YouTube logo with a Home shortcut and choose its destination, or make your profile picture grayscale. Choose which sidebar links remain visible, hide entire sidebar sections, and customize subscribed channel pictures independently. SIMPLE CONTROLS, LOCAL PREFERENCES Enable or disable Unplug with one toggle. Reset settings to the supplied default setup whenever you want a fresh start.
