Unlock.SBS — Smart Bypass Service Unlock the web in a smart, legal and privacy-first way. Unlock.SBS is a small browser extension that adds a discrete tips panel to your search results (Google, Yandex, Bing, DuckDuckGo). When a website is blocked or unavailable, it shows safer ways to reach the brand: • official mirrors and alternate domains you configure yourself; • related bookmarks already stored in your browser (optional); • a quick link to the Wayback Machine for public snapshots. What it does • Works only on supported search result pages (SERPs). • Does not change, remove, or reorder any search results. • Helps when websites are blocked, moved, or mirrored by showing your own alternates and tools in one compact panel. • Keeps everything local: matching is done in your browser only. Key features • Inline tips on search pages – a small, unobtrusive panel that appears only when there are matches. • Official mirrors & full URLs – you can store both domains and full links; paths and query parameters are preserved. • Local bookmarks integration (optional) – surface related bookmarks when you already saved a working mirror or alternate. • Import/Export in JSON – manage your mirrors and recommendation lists, supports multiple JSON formats. • Smart matching – brand matching with Cyrillic→Latin transliteration and a sensitivity slider to control how often tips appear. • Toolbar badge – optional badge showing the number of matches for the current page. • Recommendation bundles – you can import curated JSON lists (not limited to “mirrors”), e.g. diagnostics tools, utilities, or support links. Privacy by design Unlock.SBS is built as a privacy-first extension: • No analytics, no tracking pixels, no remote logging. • No proxying: all network requests go directly from your browser as usual. • All matching is done locally; your lists and settings are kept in chrome.storage.sync. • Bookmarks access is read-only and used only on your device to find local matches. Permissions (what and why) • bookmarks – read-only access to detect which of your existing bookmarks match current search results and show them in the panel (optional feature). • scripting – inject a small content script to render the tips panel on supported search engine result pages. • storage – save your mirrors, recommendation bundles, and preferences in chrome.storage.sync so they follow you across devices. • tabs – open settings pages and external links, update the toolbar badge for the active tab. • webNavigation – detect single-page app (SPA) URL changes on search pages (e.g. pushState) so the panel can refresh without reloading the tab. Legal note Unlock.SBS does not reroute traffic, bypass paywalls or DRM, or alter search results. It only suggests lawful options you choose (official alternates or full URLs), your own bookmarks, and public web archives. Use must comply with local laws and the terms of the websites you visit.
