Findest Universe Extension allows users with an account to access and add to their knowledge base from anywhere on the web. Basically, users can modify their own data on these web platforms by adding new data from the extension's popup or from the extension's context menu. This new data (text, images, documents or links) comes either from the DOM or from user inputs. The extension checks the DOM for a DOI (Digital Object Identifier) or a patent number and validates that the DOI or patent number exists in the Findest Universe database. If the DOI or patent number is valid the DOI or patent number will be added as a reference to the user selected data.
