Overview
Export conversations from ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini & more to PDF/Word/Markdown. Free, local-only knowledge base.
You've accumulated valuable ideas, solutions, and knowledge in your AI conversations — but they're scattered across platforms, unsearchable, unorganized, and lost when you switch devices. MindArchive solves this: export AI conversations to local files with one click, and manage your knowledge fully. EXPORT CONVERSATIONS — 10 PLATFORMS, ONE-CLICK SAVE Full export support for 10 major AI platforms: ChatGPT, Claude, DeepSeek, and more. Not just AI platforms — select text on any webpage, right-click, and export. Four ways to trigger an export: - Inline icon — Hover over any AI reply, the export icon appears beside native icons. Click to export. - Right-click menu — Select text and right-click to export, or on AI platforms right-click a message for the reply, right-click empty space for the entire conversation. - Popup panel — Click the toolbar icon, all export options in one panel. - Checkbox selective export — Check the messages you want, skip the rest. Selections persist on virtual-DOM pages. Six export formats: Markdown, PDF, Word and more. Conversation structure, code blocks, tables, and formatting are fully preserved. Before exporting, preview and edit in the WYSIWYG editor — add notes, fix formatting, then download in any format. AI-generated title, tags, and summary are embedded in the output. LOCAL KNOWLEDGE BASE — YOUR SECOND BRAIN MindArchive is more than an export tool. It includes a local, Obsidian-compatible Markdown knowledge base — all stored as standard .md files in a folder you choose, no proprietary formats, no lock-in. - Full-text search — Ctrl+K global search with CJK support, results by filename and content, matching lines highlighted. - WYSIWYG editor — Headings, bold, code blocks, tables, images, auto-saves after you stop typing. - File tree management — Drag and drop, batch operations, custom sorting. - Properties panel — Title, tags, platform, category stored as YAML frontmatter. - Categories & tags — Categories map to disk folders one-to-one, AI auto-generates tags when saving. Obsidian two-way compatible — point the storage directory to your Obsidian vault and both apps share the same files, edits synced in real time. Without Obsidian, the knowledge base works perfectly as a standalone manager. MORE FEATURES - File viewer — Double-click .md files to render in Chrome with syntax highlighting, table of contents, and editing. - Side panel quick notes — Jot down ideas while browsing without switching tabs, auto-save, archive to KB with one click. - Input memory — Remembers form text you've typed, Ctrl+Shift+Y to refill, stop retyping. - Bookmark management — Auto-captures Chrome bookmarks, converts to/from Markdown. - AI enhancement (optional) — Connect your own API key or local Ollama to auto-generate titles, tags, summaries. Disabled by default, key never leaves your machine. - GitHub backup — Sync knowledge base to a private repo, version control, multi-device. PRIVACY & DATA - Files on your disk — Standard .md files, remain after uninstalling. - No cloud server — Data is never uploaded anywhere. - No accounts — Install and use. - Completely free — No paid tiers, no subscriptions. Interface available in 10 languages. Under active development — your feedback directly shapes what we build next.
