Overview
Unlock copy, paste, text selection, and right-click on sites that block standard browser behavior.
Universal Copy Unlock is a lightweight Chrome Extension built for users who need normal browser controls back on websites that disable them. It restores text selection, copy, paste, cut, and the right-click menu by reversing CSS restrictions, removing inline event blockers, and shielding protected browser events from hostile page scripts. The extension is optimized to stay fast in normal use while still handling modern anti-copy patterns such as `user-select: none`, blocked clipboard shortcuts, context-menu suppression, and dynamically injected re-lock scripts. It supports iframes, open Shadow DOM trees, per-site toggles, and an optional aggressive mode for harder pages. Everything works locally in the browser. No analytics, no remote code, no account system, and no personal data collection are included.
