Overview

Play any tab's audio into your Google Meet call. No screen share, nothing for the other person to install. 100% local.

Listen to music together on a Google Meet call - without sharing your screen. Undertune plays the audio of any browser tab (YouTube, YouTube Music, and more) directly into your outgoing Meet microphone. The person on the other end just hears it, mixed naturally with your voice. No screen sharing, no "can you see my screen?", and nothing for them to install. WHY IT EXISTS Meet's only built-in way to share audio is sharing a whole tab or screen - which takes over the call and shows everything you do. Undertune shares only the sound: your camera stays on, you can switch tabs freely, and your screen stays private. HOW IT WORKS 1. Join your Google Meet call 2. Play something in another tab 3. Click Undertune and pick that tab from the list That's it. The other participants hear your voice with the music behind it. FEATURES - One-click sharing: the popup lists every tab currently playing audio - click to share, click another to switch, all without leaving the call - Auto-ducking: the music automatically lowers itself while you're talking and smoothly comes back when you stop, like a radio DJ desk - Mix console: separate live volume sliders for the music and your microphone - Instant mute hotkey: Alt+Shift+M silences the shared audio from anywhere (perfect for when an ad starts) - LIVE badge: the toolbar icon clearly shows whenever sharing is active, so you can never forget it's on - Auto-stop safety: closing or leaving the Meet tab always fully stops sharing - nothing can carry over into your next call - Your settings (volumes, auto-duck) are remembered between sessions PRIVACY — NOTHING LEAVES YOUR BROWSER Undertune has no server, no accounts, no analytics, and makes zero network requests. All audio mixing happens locally on your computer using the browser's built-in Web Audio engine. Audio is never recorded or stored. Capture starts only when you click a tab, and stops the moment you hit Stop. Permissions are limited to Google Meet only. GOOD TO KNOW - For best results, wear headphones and turn Meet's noise cancellation off while sharing music (Settings > Audio), so Meet doesn't filter the music out as background noise - If your Meet tab was already open when you installed Undertune, reload it once - Works with YouTube, YouTube Music, SoundCloud, podcasts, and most sites; some DRM-protected sources may not capture - Sharing works from your side only - the other person needs nothing Undertune is an independent project, not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Google.
