I have only realised that you had to click on the extension to see if an extension had changed it's developer info. The thumbnail for this looks like you wait for a notification to pop up, showing the extensions name, icon and new owners. If I didn't know about how it truly worked now, I could've thought that I was totally fine when in the background an extension was taking my sessions away. Anyways, it's pretty good at tracking the info. Some false positives here and there, but overall 4 stars.

This is also available for Firefox. (Heard of it on "Security Now" podcast too)

Like many others, heard about this on the excellent Security Now podcast. This is an extension that has been sorely needed for a long time to combat extensions being sold to new owners who may use them to do dubious things.

Couldn't be simpler. It literally gives you a before-and-after list of extension changes. Totally recommended.
