Overview

Restore right-click, text selection, copy and common shortcuts on pages that block them. Private and local by design.

Get your browser controls back. Unblock restores right-click, text selection, copy, cut, paste, and common shortcuts on web pages that try to disable them. Open the extension, choose “Unlock this page,” and keep working. CHOOSE WHEN IT RUNS • Unlock this page: activate on the current page when you need it. Reload to reset the page unless you have enabled automatic unlocking. • Always unlock on this website: choose a website, approve access, and let Unblock apply on future visits. The setting is saved only on this device. • Turn automatic unlocking off whenever you like. Reload an already unlocked page to restore its original behavior. FAMILIAR CONTROLS, RESTORED • Right-click context menus • Text selection on pages using selection-blocking styles • Copy, cut, and paste blocked by common page event handlers • Ctrl/Cmd+A, C, X, and V shortcuts • Common selectstart and dragstart blockers Use Alt+Shift+U for a one-time unlock. You can manage the shortcut in Chrome’s extension shortcut settings. PRIVATE AND LOCAL BY DESIGN No account. No server. No analytics or telemetry. No browsing-history log. Unblock processes the current page’s address and relevant page styles/events locally to restore controls. It saves only the hostnames you explicitly choose for automatic unlocking. It does not send page content, clipboard data, settings, or browsing activity to the developer or a server. It does not read or retain clipboard contents. ACCESS YOU CONTROL One-time unlocking uses temporary access when you invoke the extension. Lasting website access is requested only when you enable “Always unlock.” That preference covers the exact hostname across HTTP/HTTPS and ports, not its subdomains. A FEW PRACTICAL LIMITS Unblock works on ordinary top-level HTTP/HTTPS pages. Chrome-protected pages, the Chrome Web Store, file URLs, built-in PDF viewers, and embedded frames are not supported. Some overlays, shadow-root styles, or advanced blocking techniques may still interfere. Unlocking can also affect a website’s custom copy or drag behavior; reload the page to reset a one-time change.
