Save every message of a long ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini or Grok chat, from the first to the last. Unabridged exports the whole conversation as one Markdown file. The Markdown export is free, with no sign-up. WHY A LONG CHAT GETS CUT OFF Chat sites load older messages only as you scroll. Copy-paste and printing the page can quietly drop the middle of the thread. Unabridged scrolls through the thread for you. It collects every message, including the ones the page unloads to save memory. WHAT THE FILE KEEPS Code blocks keep their language labels on every supported site. Lists, tables and LaTeX math come through intact. Links in the answer text stay as links, without tracking tags. A link to a web source can be left out. An image without a lasting link, a video or an audio clip is not put in the file. In its place, the file has a line that says it was not included. The file is plain text (.md), so you can keep it with your notes. FREE • Export the full thread you are viewing. "Restore purchase" signs you in with that email. PRIVACY • Your chats are processed in your browser. They are never sent to us, to the payment provider or to anyone else. • Every supported site is read from the page you see. Unabridged sends no request of its own to the chat site and does not read your login session. • Network: the free features make no network request. The payment provider is contacted only when you use a Pro feature or unlock or restore Pro. After an earlier unlock or restore, it is also contacted when you open its own pages. It receives an installation key and nothing else, never your chats. • Storage: local browser storage on this device only. Nothing is written to sync storage. It holds an install date and settings for the popup hints. After an install or update, it can also hold the id numbers of open tabs for the reload tip, in session storage. It holds no addresses or titles of tabs. Once you start a purchase, it also holds an installation key and your purchase status, including the email you bought with. No message text is stored. • No account with us, no analytics, no tracking, no remote code. • Permissions: "storage" for your settings and purchase status, plus "activeTab" and "scripting" to work in the tab you are on. Do I have to reload a chat that was open before I installed it? Not for one chat. It works in a tab that was already open, without reloading. Is Pro a subscription?
