Overview
Hide part of a page with a mosaic, blur or black fill, or box it in red. Drag a box, select text, or pick an element.
Ultimate Web Redactor hides parts of a web page, or puts a red box around them. Use it before a screenshot or a screen share. What it does - Hide. The area is covered with a block mosaic, a blur, or solid black. Mosaic block size is adjustable from 3 to 40 px, blur radius from 1 to 40 px. - Red box. The box is drawn on top of the page, so the layout does not shift. Line width is 1 to 12 px, padding 0 to 24 px, corner radius 0 to 32 px, and there are five colours. Three ways to choose the area - Drag a rectangle (Ctrl+Shift+E). Use this when the area does not line up with anything on the page, such as one part of a photo. While the mode is on, E switches between hide and red box, and Esc leaves it. - Select text, then apply to the selection. Ctrl+Shift+Y hides it and Ctrl+Shift+K boxes it. The right-click menu has the same two entries. - Pick an element (Ctrl+Shift+L). This one is for an image, an avatar, or a single row of a table. Move the pointer to highlight, press the up arrow for the parent element and the down arrow to come back, then click. Right-clicking an image or a video applies to it directly. All three are also buttons in the toolbar popup. A dragged rectangle stays fixed to the window; text selections and picked elements move with the page as you scroll. Undo Ctrl+Z takes back the last one. Clicking anything you applied removes it. "Undo everything" restores the whole page. If a stray click would be a problem, turn on "Keep clicks from removing it" in the popup. Permissions The extension has no host permissions. It is loaded into the tab you are on at the moment you invoke it, and nothing runs before that. Settings are kept on your own machine. There is no network request, no analytics and no account.
