Every application to an employer who cannot sponsor you is time you will not get back. This extension tells you in seconds, before you apply. HOW IT WORKS Open any job advert. Click the SponsorJobUK icon, or press Alt + Shift + S. The extension reads the employer name off the advert and checks it against the Home Office register of licensed sponsors. The answer is one big word at the top: Licensed, Not found, or Which one. WHAT YOU GET • Licensed or not: is the employer on the Home Office register of licensed sponsors today • Licence rating and route: A rated, Skilled Worker, Health and Care Worker • Pay check: when the advert publishes its job title and pay, it shows whether the pay meets the visa minimum for that kind of job, and says plainly when it cannot tell • Live jobs: how many live jobs we hold for that employer, with one click to see them • Trading names handled: adverts use trading names, the register uses legal names, so it tries the other spellings too and tells you which one matched • No false yes: when two companies match equally well, it shows both and asks which is yours • Right click any name: found a job in a Facebook group, a WhatsApp message or an email? It stores nothing between one use and the next, because it has nowhere to store anything. Nothing runs on a page until you ask. It contains no analytics of any kind. It costs nothing and sells nothing. WHAT IT SENDS When you click the icon, four public facts off the advert go to our own API at sponsorjobuk.com: the employer name, the job title, the pay as the advert states it, and the town. When you right click, only the text you selected goes. Nothing identifies you in either request. We keep no copy of what was checked. THE THREE PERMISSIONS, AND WHY activeTab lets it look at the tab you are on, at the moment you click the icon or press the shortcut, and then that permission expires. scripting runs the small read only file that looks for the employer name, the title, the pay and the town. contextMenus adds Check this employer to the menu you get when you right click selected text. That is the whole list. No host permissions, no storage, no identity, no tabs, no webNavigation. It cannot read a website you have not asked it to, and it cannot know who you are. WHERE THE DATA COMES FROM The Home Office register of licensed sponsors, downloaded again every morning. The pay floors come from the gov.uk tables of thresholds and going rates, and the panel says the date we last checked them. Holding a licence is not a promise to sponsor any particular vacancy, and the panel says so on every answer.
