UK Take-Home Pay Calculator by Calcistry
Overview
Work out UK take-home pay in one click: Income Tax, National Insurance, student loan and pension, for 2026/27 and 2025/26.
Find out what you actually take home from a UK salary, without opening a website or signing up. Type your salary and the popup shows your take-home pay a month and a year, with the Income Tax, National Insurance, student loan and pension behind it. It updates as you type. What it covers: • 2026/27 and 2025/26 tax years • England, Wales and Northern Ireland, and Scottish rates (starter to top) • Personal Allowance taper above £100,000 • Employee National Insurance (category A) • Student loan Plans 1, 2, 4 and 5, and Postgraduate Loan • Pension by relief at source or salary sacrifice, including higher-rate relief you can claim back • Common tax codes such as 1257L, BR, D0, 0T, NT and Scottish S codes (K codes are not supported) Need more detail? One button opens the full breakdown on calcistry.com with your numbers already filled in (salary, region, tax code, pension and student loan). Privacy: the extension makes no network requests. It only uses browser storage to remember your last inputs on your own device. No sign-up, no tracking, no ads. The rates come from GOV.UK and HMRC pages, and the maths is the same as the calculator on calcistry.com. It's an annual estimate for employees, not payroll software, and doesn't model week 1/month 1 codes, K codes or bonuses month by month. General information, not tax advice.
