UI Extractor is built for UI extraction. Hover an element, see exactly what you are about to take, and lift it out with the CSS that actually applies. Pick precisely, without touching the page Press Alt+Shift+E and a DevTools-style highlight follows your cursor. Arrow up to widen from a label to a button to a card to a whole section, arrow left and right to step between siblings, hold Shift to freeze a target that would otherwise move. Ctrl-click builds a multi-select set. A chip names each element the way a screen reader would, with its role, its accessible name, and the ancestor path above it. The picker never mutates the page. No injected classes, no wrappers, no inline styles. It lives in a closed shadow root with pointer events disabled, so sites driven by React or MutationObserver stay undisturbed. Clicks are swallowed so links do not navigate, but hovers still pass through, which means the page's own dropdowns and menus open normally and you can pick what is inside them. Capture the resting state, not the hovered one At the moment you click, your cursor is by definition on top of the element, so a naive capture would record the hovered appearance as the base style. UI Extractor suppresses :hover and settles any in-flight transitions before it reads styles, so what gets stored is how the element actually looks at rest. Nine formats from one capture Every capture is stored once, as a single rich record, and rendered on demand into whatever shape the moment calls for: self-contained HTML with its scoped CSS by default, or just the markup or just the stylesheet on their own when that is all a project needs. Hand a design system a token file instead, drop a component's structure into a React codebase, or copy a plain-language summary to describe what you found to an AI assistant. Nothing is lost at capture time, so you can switch what you export later without recapturing. Scan a whole page, not just one element Three page-wide passes: a design scan that reads the page's colors, type, spacing, and shadows into one summary, a content scan that pulls its text, and an asset scan that collects its images, fonts, and SVGs in a single pass. There is also a background-only mode for grabbing a gradient, texture, or pattern on its own, without the element it happens to be painted on. A library, not a downloads folder Captures land in a searchable local library organized by what kind of thing they are. Sites become shelves and sections become stacks. There are collections and tags, three browse views (grid, pile, and a coverflow carousel), per-site overviews that roll a whole domain's design system up at a glance, find-similar search built on color and effect fingerprints, bulk selection and delete, and ZIP export. Local, always There are no servers, no accounts, and no analytics. Captures live in IndexedDB in your browser.
