ufofo gives X bookmarks the free local folders they should have had all along. Save a great thread, useful idea, funny meme, important receipt, or another “I’ll read this later” lie. ufofo abducts it into the folder you choose, complete with an unnecessarily delightful UFO animation. Your folders live directly inside X, so you can organize and browse saved posts without another app, account, or subscription. Features: • Save X bookmarks into custom folders • Browse folders directly from the Bookmarks tab inside X History • Add, rename, delete, and reorder folders • Keep folders separate across X accounts • Open the original X post anytime • Pause the extension whenever you want • Disable the save animation if you are tragically anti-UFO Experimental feature: Turn a folder into a visual Board using Stream, Gallery, or Magazine layouts. Arrange posts, add notes, and teleport Boards between browsers using portable `.ufofo` files. Privacy: Your data stays in your browser. No backend. No analytics. No bookmark harvesting. No separate account. ufofo stores folder names, saved post URLs, settings, Boards, notes, and cached post metadata locally using Chrome storage. It does not send your bookmarks to a third-party server. How it works: Bookmark a post on X, choose a folder, and move on with your life. Then open X History and browse your folders: AI, Startups, Research, Memes, Reading List, Product Ideas, or whatever organizational system your brain claims it will follow this week. Important notes: • ufofo adds a local folder layer; it does not replace native X bookmarks • Posts with uncaptured metadata may show limited details • Uninstalling the extension or clearing extension storage may remove local data • X.com layout changes can occasionally affect extension behavior Not affiliated with X Corp.
