Permissions rationale The extension requests storage, webNavigation, and activeTab, plus host access to https://*/.well-known/ucp*. That scoped host permission is the only path we fetch; no other page content or user data is read. Clicking “View Status” simply opens the public report on ucpchecker.com. Privacy - Only public manifest JSON is transmitted, and only when “Share anonymous uptime stats” remains enabled. - Requests use credentials: "omit" so session cookies or tokens never leave the browser. - Badge state and timestamps live solely in chrome.storage.local for the popup view.
