Ubikron is a Chrome extension (surprise surprise!) that speaks to a server - in the cloud or in your server room - and keeps track of sites you’ve browsed to. It saves screenshots of the sites as well as all the body text. It allows you to make notes and mark and annotation screen areas on a page as important - without leaving the current page. You can also tag sites and screen clippings to your heart's content. It integrates with OpenAI (and later your own open source AI) - your screen clippings are described by AI so it can be found really easily later. You can also interrogate a RAG enhanced AI assistant and ask it complex questions about any of the pages you've seen. It’s useful for anyone that wants to remember and organize sites they’ve been to – typically online researchers or OSINT investigators, but also useful for anything else like... shopping. It works as well with 50 000 entries as it does with 50 entries, so feel free to set it up and forget about it until needed. You can configure which sites should never be recorded (like your email or banking) or you can switch it off permanently. Check out the video - a quick (cough cough) tutorial on how this works.
