Overview

Detect and profile fonts on any website to reveal their properties and metadata.

Typical makes it easy to detect and profile fonts on any website, revealing their properties and metadata. Unlike traditional font inspectors that rely on CSS declarations, Typical reads what is actually rendered on screen and inspects the font binary itself to uncover the true font identity. It can reveal the canonical font name, foundry, classification, license, and other metadata directly from the font file. In other words, CSS is treated as a hint. The font file is the source of truth. It's useful for: • Designers auditing typography • Developers debugging font stacks • Anyone curious about the type they're reading Typical runs entirely locally. No analytics, no accounts, no servers. Nothing about the pages you visit ever leaves your browser. Full policy at https://typicalhq.vercel.app/privacy
