Insert typographically correct symbols via the right-click context menu.
TypeRight adds a simple right-click menu for inserting typographic symbols into any text field, rich text editor or content-editable area. Stop hunting for keyboard shortcuts or copying from character maps. Right-click, pick a symbol, done. Symbols included (48 across 9 groups): - Dashes: en-dash, em-dash - Curly quotes: double and single (open and close) - Measurements: single/double prime, degree - Superscripts & subscripts: ² ³ ₂ - Accented letters: é è à ü ñ ç (and uppercase pairs) - Maths: × ÷ ± − - Currency: € £ ¥ ¢ - Fractions: ½ ¼ ¾ ⅓ ⅔ - Arrows: → ← ↑ ↓ ↔ - Misc: ellipsis, bullet, © ® ™, non-breaking space How it works: - Right-click any text field to see the ‘Insert Typography’ menu - Pick a symbol and it gets inserted at your cursor position - Undo with Ctrl+Z works as normal Privacy and permissions: - TypeRight collects no data whatsoever - It only activates when you right-click a text field — no background processes, no keylogging - It requests only the minimum permissions needed: context menus, active tab and scripting TypeRight is free, open-source and lightweight.
