Overview
Insert typographically correct symbols via the right-click context menu.
TypeRight adds a simple right-click menu for inserting typographic symbols into any text field, rich text editor or content-editable area. Stop hunting for keyboard shortcuts or copying from character maps. Right-click, pick a symbol, done. Symbols included: - En-dash and em-dash - Curly double and single quotes (open and close) - Single and double primes - Ellipsis, bullet, degree and multiplication sign How it works: - Right-click any text field to see the "Insert Typography" menu - Pick a symbol and it gets inserted at your cursor position - Undo with Ctrl+Z works as normal Privacy and permissions: - TypeRight collects no data whatsoever - It only activates when you right-click a text field — no background processes, no keylogging - It requests only the minimum permissions needed: context menus, active tab and scripting TypeRight is free, open-source and lightweight.
