TypeBridge
Overview
Type saved snippets as keystrokes into web Remote Desktop sessions when copy/paste fails.
TypeBridge helps you get saved text into web-based Remote Desktop sessions when copy/paste is unreliable. Many remote desktop clients run inside a browser tab and render the remote screen as a canvas. That means a normal extension cannot simply fill a form field, and clipboard handoff can fail or behave inconsistently. TypeBridge works around that by typing your saved snippets into the active remote desktop tab as keystrokes. Save common usernames, paths, commands, notes, or other text snippets in the side panel, click one, and TypeBridge types it into the remote session. You can also type a snippet and press Enter with one click. Features: - Save and reorder reusable snippets - Type snippets into web Remote Desktop sessions - Optional “type then Enter” button - Adjustable typing speed for slower remote connections - Export and import snippets as YAML - Stores snippets locally in Chrome storage Privacy: TypeBridge does not send your snippets to any server. Snippets and settings are stored locally in your Chrome profile using chrome.storage.local. Note: TypeBridge uses Chrome’s debugger permission to send trusted keyboard events to the selected tab. Chrome may show a “being debugged” banner while TypeBridge is attached. You can release the debugger from the side panel when you are done typing.
