Select text to improve it, fix grammar, shorten it, expand it, or rewrite it in a more professional tone. Use the floating toolbar or press Alt+W to open Type Clean instantly. What you can do: • Rewrite selected text with Improve, Grammar, Shorten, Expand, and Professional actions • Create personas with tone rules and writing samples so rewrites sound like you • Save custom prompts and organize your best writing workflows • Ask questions about the current page using a capped, redacted text excerpt • Start with free cloud rewrites after Google sign-in • Upgrade to Pro for unlimited access to Type Clean’s free model catalogue, up to three personas, and BYOK access • Bring your own OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, OpenRouter, or compatible API key Privacy: Your prompts, personas, settings, and BYOK API keys stay in Chrome on your device. BYOK requests go directly to the provider you choose. Free and Pro cloud requests route through Type Clean to provide account, plan, and quota handling. Type Clean works in standard text fields, content editable editors, and supported same-origin frames. Google Docs canvas editing is not supported in this release.
