Talk instead of typing. Typally turns what you say into text in any text box in Chrome: an email, a message, a document, a search, a prompt to ChatGPT. Click into a text box and press the microphone that appears beside it, or press Ctrl + Shift + Space. Talk the way you would to a person. Press again, and your words appear where your cursor was, with the punctuation in and the ums taken out. WHAT YOU GET • Speech to text in any text box, on any website. • 100 free minutes every month, with no account to make. • In the language you speak: Typally detects it, or you choose it. • Clean text: punctuation, capitals, and no filler words. • Meeting notes too: with the Typally desktop app, a summary, the key topics and the action items after your calls in Google Meet, Microsoft Teams and Zoom, and who talked for how long. WHERE YOUR VOICE GOES • The microphone is off until you press it. It stops when you press again, or after a minute. • Each recording is sent over an encrypted connection to Typally's server, which passes it to its speech-recognition provider to be turned into text. The audio and the text are not kept. • Your settings and this month's minutes are kept in your browser. There is no account and no history. • Meetings are recorded by the Typally desktop app on your own computer, never by a bot in the call.
