Two-Factor CAPTCHA - TOTP Authentication Tool
Overview
An offline two-factor authentication tool that supports batch export and PDF.
TOTP Authenticator is an offline 2FA dynamic CAPTCHA tool that runs in the Chrome browser. It can directly generate 6- or 8-digit one-time CAPTCHAs required for login within the browser. The extension supports directly scanning the 2FA setup QR code on the current webpage. When the website displays the authentication QR code, click "Scan QR code on this page" and select the corresponding area to recognize and add your account. You can also use your camera to scan the code, upload a screenshot of the QR code, paste the OTPAuth link, or manually enter the key. This is suitable for individual users, developers, operations and maintenance personnel, cross-border e-commerce practitioners, enterprise backend administrators, and users who need to manage multiple accounts. A large number of CAPTCHAs are already stored in other authenticators, allowing for quick migration. The extension supports importing Google Authenticator migration QR codes, as well as Aegis, 2FAS, general JSON, CSV, and multi-line otpauth text. During batch migrations, multiple accounts are parsed, and duplicate items are automatically skipped, reducing the work of rebinding each account individually. Main functions include: • Generate TOTP and HOTP dynamic verification codes in the browser. • Supports SHA-1, SHA-256 and SHA-512 algorithms • Supports 6-digit or 8-digit verification codes and 30-second or 60-second time intervals. • Supports an unlimited number of authenticated accounts • Scan the QR code on this webpage to quickly add your account. • Supports scanning QR codes with a camera and uploading QR code screenshots. • Supports bulk migration of QR codes via Google Authenticator • Supports Aegis, 2FAS, JSON, CSV, and otpauth text import. • Quick search by account name or service provider • Use category tags to organize work, personal, and other accounts. • Click on the account to quickly copy the verification code • Supports compact lists and hidden CAPTCHA display • Supports light, dark, and follow system themes • Supports Chinese and English interfaces • Supports keyboard shortcuts, webpage right-click menus, and address bar quick import. To facilitate backup and migration, the extension supports exporting accounts as standard OTPAUth QR codes, Google Authenticator migration QR codes, JSON backups, PDF documents, or OTPAUth link text. You can export single or multiple accounts as needed, facilitating device switching, offline backup creation, or migration to other compatible authenticators. The extension generates and saves verification codes locally by default, without requiring account registration or sending verification code keys to external servers. It does not request access to all websites; it only processes the visible area of the current page when you actively use the webpage's QR code scanning function. You can also enable password lock, auto-lock, and AES-256-GCM encryption protection to reduce the risk of others directly viewing your account and verification codes. If you need to use the device across multiple devices, you can enable Chrome sync to allow your authenticated account to sync with your logged-in Google account to other Chrome browsers. Cloud sync is off by default; you can choose whether to enable it. How to use: 1. On websites that require two-step verification, find the "Authenticator App" settings. 2. Open the extension and select to scan the QR code of the current webpage, upload a screenshot, paste the link, or add it manually. 3. After successful addition, the extension will continuously generate dynamic verification codes that are synchronized with the website. 4. When logging in, click on the corresponding account to copy the verification code, and then paste it into the verification input box on the website. This extension is suitable for users who want to use Google Authenticator on their computers, are looking for an Authenticator Chrome extension, manage multiple TOTP accounts, migrate Google Authenticator CAPTCHAs, or need an offline 2FA CAPTCHA generator. It centralizes scanning, searching, categorizing, copying, importing, and backing up within a clear browser interface, making two-factor authentication easier to manage. This extension's code is open-source on GitHub, where users and developers can view the code, report issues, or suggest features. The extension is also listed on product discovery platforms such as Product Hunt, Zenodo, AlternativeTo, Uneed, and SaaSHub, and has passed Cure53's security assessment. Users are welcome to try it out and leave honest feedback. We will continuously improve QR code recognition, website compatibility, account migration, and batch import/export experiences based on community feedback.
