Overview

Catch up to buffered Twitch live video with an explicit ON/OFF control.

When your Twitch player falls behind video it has already received, Twitch Latency Mitigator helps it catch up by skipping forward within the available buffer. Use the Follow live ON/OFF button in Twitch's standard player control bar. The button hides together with the other controls. Turn it OFF before rewinding intentionally. When enabled, the extension checks once per second. If it can skip ahead by at least 5 seconds, it moves forward while keeping about 2 seconds of buffered video. Jumps are at least 5 seconds apart. Catching up skips part of the video; it does not speed up playback. Choose Follow live by default in the extension options. It is OFF until you enable it. Changes apply to the next page you open or channel you switch to, while the current page's manual selection is preserved. Paused video is left paused. English and Japanese interfaces are included. Settings are stored locally in your browser. There are no accounts, analytics, advertising, or developer-operated servers. This helps only when received video is ahead of the playback position. It cannot remove delay before video reaches your browser. It relies on Twitch's player internals, which can change. Advertisement detection is not guaranteed. Independent project, not affiliated with or endorsed by Twitch.
