Twitch DVR Player replaces Twitch’s standard video player with a custom player that lets you rewind live streams, scrub through the recent broadcast, and jump between live playback and earlier content. Features • Live DVR controls: Pause live streams and rewind through the available stream buffer. • VOD continuation: When you rewind beyond the live buffer, the extension can continue playback from the latest available VOD. • Quick navigation: Jump backward 10 seconds or forward 30 seconds with keyboard shortcuts. • Storyboard previews: Hover over the seek bar to preview VOD thumbnails before choosing where to jump. • Chat replay synchronization: Rewinding into a VOD automatically synchronizes Twitch chat with the selected playback position. • Chat overlay: Use a draggable, resizable chat overlay while watching in fullscreen. • Quality selection: Choose from the available video resolutions, including automatic quality selection. Your preference is remembered across sessions. • Theater mode: Expand the player for a larger viewing area without entering fullscreen. • Fullscreen support: Continue watching with synchronized chat in fullscreen mode. • Playback controls: Adjust playback speed, volume, mute state, and seek position with convenient keyboard shortcuts. • VOD position memory: Resume VODs from approximately where you stopped watching. • Muted-segment detection: Displays a notification when Twitch has copyright-silenced audio during part of a VOD. • Ad-break handling: Detects Twitch ad breaks and helps restore the player layout afterward. • Optional error reporting: You can opt in to anonymous Sentry error reports to help improve playback reliability. Error reporting is disabled by default. The extension activates automatically on Twitch and replaces the standard player. You can switch back to Twitch’s regular player whenever you want. Important limitation Twitch allows streamers to disable automatic VOD publishing. If a channel has this setting enabled, Twitch DVR cannot continue beyond the available live buffer because there is no VOD to play.
