Twitch Chat Translator
Overview
Translates Twitch chat messages between selectable languages.
Twitch Chat Translator helps viewers understand live Twitch chat by displaying translations directly beneath the original messages. On supported desktop Chrome versions, the extension can use Chrome's built-in Translator API to translate chat locally on the user's device after activation. When on-device translation is unavailable or inactive, eligible visible chat message text is sent to the selected fallback translation provider. Features: - Translates Twitch chat messages between selectable languages. - Lets viewers choose source and target languages from the extension popup. - Supports Chrome's on-device translation for improved privacy and no external API quota. - Uses MyMemory as the default fallback translation provider. - Supports user-configured LibreTranslate-compatible fallback endpoints. - Includes an on/off toggle for translation. - Processes new visible messages while watching Twitch streams. - Displays translations inline in the chat panel. - Keeps the original chat message visible. - Excludes StreamElements messages from translation. This extension is useful for international Twitch viewers who want to follow live stream chats in different languages.
