Twitch Chat Overlay

Get a Twitch chat overlay when watching streams in theatre mode and fullscreen.

Twitch Chat Overlay lets you take control of chat when watching in theatre mode or fullscreen. Works with 7TV, FFZ, and BTTV emotes. Instead of chat being locked to the side of the player, this extension lets you: • Drag the chat panel anywhere over the video using a dedicated grab handle, or by grabbing the chat header itself • Resize the chat panel's height by dragging its corner • Toggle chat visibility on/off with a new button added right in the player controls, next to the fullscreen button • Dim the chat panel to 50% transparency with a single click, so it's easier to see the video behind it • Enjoy small visual cleanups in theatre mode and fullscreen: removes the chat header clutter and the "top gifters" banner, and adds a subtle background/border polish to the chat panel Chat position, size, and transparency are remembered while you browse, and everything resets automatically when you leave theatre mode. This extension only runs on twitch.tv, makes no network requests, and does not collect, store, or transmit any data.
