TwinCaption displays the current YouTube caption track and your chosen translation together in one stable subtitle layer.16+ Languages Supported! Built for language learning, technical videos, interviews, and anyone who wants the original and translated captions visible at the same time. Features: • Original, translated, or dual-subtitle display modes • Drag subtitles anywhere on the player • No account, analytics, advertising, or paid API key YouTube translation is the default. Google translation is optional and disabled by default. If enabled, TwinCaption asks for access first, then sends subtitle text directly from the browser to Google for translation. The optional service may be rate-limited. TwinCaption is an independent extension and is not affiliated with, authorized by, or endorsed by YouTube or Google. Chrome may display an access warning for `translate.googleapis.com` during installation or update. This is expected and is required only for the automatic fallback above. Allow it to enable fallback translation. TwinCaption adds no Google account identifier, has no developer-operated backend, and the developer never receives or stores subtitle text.
