DUAL SUBTITLES ON YOUTUBE • Two subtitle lines on the video: the video's language, and yours underneath. • Human subtitles in your language when the video has them; otherwise Chrome's built-in translator translates on your computer. • Works with automatic captions too: long run-on lines are cut where the speaker pauses, so they're easy to read. • Captions turn on by themselves. Works in fullscreen, and the video never shrinks. • A line that goes by too fast stays a moment longer, so you can finish reading it. EVERY WORD, ONE POINT AWAY • Point at a word for its meaning in that sentence, not a random dictionary sense. • See its base form: "estabas" is a form of "estar" (to be). • Click it for the dictionary entry, pronunciation and the whole line. • Drag across several words to translate an expression or an idiom. • Pronunciation for Japanese (romaji or kana), Chinese (pinyin with tones) and Korean (romanization). • Words you're learning are highlighted wherever they come up again. LEARN LINE BY LINE • A, S, D: previous line, repeat, next line. Q: pause after every line. • R: loop a line for shadowing. E: blur the translation for listening practice. • Slow the video to 0.75× or 0.5×. Move the subtitles earlier or later if they drift. • Every key can be changed, and YouTube's own keys are never taken.
