Overview

Hold your shortcut and left-click to download images and videos instantly.

Hold a key, left-click, and the image or video is saved. No right-click menu, no "Save image as" dialog, no leaving the page. HOW IT WORKS Hold Alt (Option on Mac) and left-click any image or video. tugpic finds the media under your cursor, picks the largest version available, and saves it to your Downloads folder. A small toast in the corner tells you what was saved. WHAT IT CAN SAVE • Images, including the largest candidate from srcset and <picture> • Videos with a direct URL (mp4, webm) • Streaming video (HLS and DASH). Play the video for a moment, then Alt+click it: tugpic collects the segments the page already loaded and joins them into one file • blob: videos of any size. The download starts inside the page, so nothing is copied or limited • CSS background images and drawn <canvas> elements EVERY IMAGE IN AN ARTICLE AT ONCE Press Alt+Shift+D, or open the popup, and tugpic gathers the article's images into an album. Untick the ones you don't want and download the rest as a batch into Downloads/tugpic/<page title>/. Changed your mind? One click on Undo removes the whole batch. YOUR SHORTCUT, YOUR KEYS Alt+click is the default. Open the popup or the settings page, click the box, and press the combination you want. Modifiers (Alt, Ctrl, Shift, Cmd) and ordinary keys like D all work. BUILT TO STAY OUT OF YOUR WAY • The popup tells you whether tugpic can run on the current page, and what to do if it can't • Recent downloads are listed in the popup; click one to reveal the file • Nothing is collected or sent anywhere. No accounts, no analytics, no remote code • Open source (MIT) with zero runtime dependencies: https://github.com/bysuio/tugpic LIMITS • Encrypted streams (DRM, AES-128) cannot be saved • A streaming video that has never been played has no segments to collect; play it briefly first • Some CDNs reject downloads that arrive without their Referer Only download media you have the right to save. tugpic is not affiliated with any website.
